I am Azadeh Alavizargar, a PhD candidate at the school of Nano Science, Institute for Research in Fundamental Sciences (IPM), Tehran, Iran. I have had the chance to join the soft condensed matter group at Sharif University of Technology in 2016, and to work under the supervision of Prof. Mohammad Reza Ejtehadi.
My field of research is computational studies of ion channels. I use all-atom Molecular Dynamics and Brownian Dynamics simulations techniques to study the structure and function of these biomolecular systems. I also use enhanced sampling techniques combined with MD simulations in order to study the ion permeation mechanism across the ion channels.
